Agility Foundations
This class focuses on the basics of agility and the foundation steps for any new agility dog.
Whether you're a first time handler or starting a new dog in agility, this class will set you up for success!
Advanced Foundations
This class introduces and expands on previous foundation training to bring you to the next level! We will continue to work on single obstacle performance, commitment skills, and more!
Prerequisites: Dogs must complete Agility Foundations Class or have instructor approval before registering
Skills and Drills
This class introduces and expands on previous foundation training to bring you to the next level! We will continue to work on obstacle performance, commitment skills, and more! This class is perfect for you if you want to bridge the gap between advanced foundations and novice coursework!
Intro to Weaves
Ready to start training your weave poles? In this class, we will be using a channel and guide wire method to help your dogs learn how to weave. Taking this class requires you to work on your dog’s weave poles outside of class to allow your dog to learn at a faster pace and successfully complete the class.
Included in this class is a free
30-minute ring rental in the turf In Sync ring, non-refundable if not used. Expires 15 days after the class session.
Prerequisites:
Dog’s of any level of weaves are allowed, we will start with the basics on teaching weaves but can adjust to each dogs level.
Minimum of 12 months of age.
Teeter Class
Ready to start training your teeter? By using the table-to-table method, our goal is to have a confident and fast teeter. In this class we will continue to work on the 2on2off or 4 on while applying it to teach the teeter.
Contacts!
The contacts class will cover both the aframe and dog walk using stopped contacts. By lowering both contacts we will begin to teach the foundational steps to both contacts with an end goal of having perfect stopped contacts!
** Running contacts will only be allowed by instructor approval.
Jumping Skills
During this class we will work on jump grids to properly teach jumping. We will be using different methods to both work on grids and takeoff points. This class is perfect if your dog is struggling to keep bars up, has to put a lot of effort into jumping, or is new to jumping.
Prerequisites: Must have prior jumping experience and a minimum of 15 months old
UKI Games
Have you always wondered how you could improve your plan for gambler or snooker runs? Or maybe you’ve never played because the idea of coming up with your own plan is daunting. In this class we will discuss the rules of UKI gamblers and snooker, analyze course maps, create plans to earn maximum points, and practice these courses! While UKI rules will be discussed in class, this can also apply to AKC and USDAA games.
Prerequisites: Dogs must be competing on full courses or have instructor approval before registering.
International Skills
This class introduces international skills you would see on an ISC or Champ UKI course. We will work on backsides, threadles, and even handling skills such as a german turn. The class focuses on single obstacle skills, and will slowly work towards adding into a short sequence.
Prerequisites: Dogs must be comfortable with short sequences and already have basic jumping skills, and preferably competing at Ex/Master level.
Minimum of 12 months of age.
Masters Coursework
This class is ideal for those competing at the AKC Open or higher level. We will run master level courses each week, and analyze the best lines for your dog.
Prerequisites: Dogs must have all contacts and weaves and be able to run a full course.
Competition Coursework
In this class we will run full courses that will resemble a competition course. It is open to all levels Novice-Masters. We will break up parts of the course as needed and analyze the best lines for your dog.
Prerequisites: Dogs must be competing at the Novice level or higher OR must be competition-ready. Dogs must be familiar with all equipment, some exceptions may be made.
FUNdamentals
In this class we will run full courses that will resemble a competition course. It is open to all levels Novice-Masters. We will break up parts of the course as needed and analyze the best lines for your dog.
Prerequisites: Dogs must be competing at the Novice level or higher OR must be competition-ready. Dogs must be familiar with all equipment, some exceptions may be made.
